Hi everyone, welcome back

Fall marks the start of the cold season. Apart from changing your wardrobe, bringing out your boots and scarves, you definitely need to overhaul your makeup look.

I love this season (Autum), I think I mentioned before, this is my favourite season of the year …

Mac Concealer – Pro longwear & Select cover-up

Concealer is an essential part of any makeup routine, it hides dark circles and skin imperfections …..  There are billions of concealers out on the market, it’s hard to know which ones are going to work the best for you. MAC has a legendary reputation in the make up world and it’s assumed that they make quality products.

Here are two of my favourite concealer from mac;

Mac Pro longwear concealer – This is a fluid concealer that provides full matte coverage for up to 15 hours, with a comfortable matte finish. Gives a smoother flawless looking finish on skin, helps to conceal flaws, spots, under eye  circles and skin discolouration.

Mac Select cover up concealer – A liquid camouflage-like formula that brightens dark areas, erases spots and evens skin tone.  This concealer can be use anywhere, face or body  to camouflage the skin, with a medium coverage and a matte finish….

Using the right concealer can help you hide your imperfections. Opt for a shade that’s one lighter than your skin tone and apply the concealer first before any other layer of makeup. To help completely cover stubborn blemishes or dark spots…. 

When properly applied, concealer can work wonders, as well as enhancing your beauty.

AVON MARK LIQUID LIP LACQUER SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Today I have a review of the new lipsticks from Avon Mark : Matte lipstick and liquid lipstick. Today, I have a mixture of both to show you. Matte liquid lipstick and shine liquid lip lacquer. 

Yep, that’s right. Avon’s new mark. Liquid Lip Lacquer’s that come in both a matte and a shine finish. The shades are pretty much the same on both sides, just different finishes. There are 12 matte shades and 12 shine.

The matte shades gives  a velvet finish and the shine shades a moisturizing vinyl finish, but both of them with long-wearing and to never bleed or feather.

I’ve been testing it out massively over the last week to make sure that my first impressions actually lasted and fortunately they did. I personally prefer the shiny ones but matte is great as well…. Overall I love it and I definitely recommend …

Lips – Application Tips

I love to wear lipstick and take care of my lips , so today I will talk about lips …..

Lips tend to dry out because they have no sebaceous glands. Take a toothbrush and brush Vaseline or lip balm into them. This will help exfoliate any dead skin, seal in moisture and act as a primer for lipstick the waxiness works to fill cracks and smooth the lip surface. 

To prevent and treat, apply balm daily ….. 

 – Since lips contain no melanin, they need protection against the sun’s burning rays. So when you are out in the sun, protect your lips with a screen that has a high SPF.

– Use a brush when applying lipstick for a precise look. the brush allows you to get right into the corners without smudging and it ensures that you keep your colour within your lip line rather than smudging it over the edges.

-To achieve a soft, tidy line and prevent bleeding without lining lips, try soaking a cotton bud in liquid foundation, or concealer, and run it around the outside of a already- painted mouth.

– When using a lip pencil sharpen it before use. This not only ensure a precise point but also takes away any greasy residual on the pencil tip and reveals the fresh crayon underneath, making application much easier.

– After outlining the lips with a pencil, use it to colour in your lips, even if you’re applying lipstick on top. This allows colour to wear off uniformly.

-To keep lipstick off teeth, apply colour with a brush and then blot. Hold your finger horizontally between lips and bit down, pulling your finger out to remove any lipstick that colour rub off on your teeth.

– Blot your lipstick with a tissue and then reapply to build up colour and durability.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SUN DIPPED GLOW KIT

No matter what time of year it is I think we all love adding a bit of glow to our makeup looks, for me it’s one step I don’t like to miss out…. I think the key to the perfect highlighter is texture, colour and lasting power….

Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit includes four ultra-shimmery highlighters in warmer hues. The formula is consistent in the palette. Gives a intense luminosity. It’s richly pigmented, smooth, and easy blended .

Just layer the highly blendable shades together or wear them separately on the eyes and body for a radiant look.

Bronzed is a medium-dark, coppery brown with warm undertones and a metallic sheen.

Summer is a light, yellowed gold with warm undertones and a luminous sheen.

MUA Cosmetics has been one brand that I’ve been using for a long time ….

Who does not like a good highlighter? In this article I would like to show you the beautiful MUA Luxury Strobe & Glow highlight kit.

The box looks really beautiful!!!!…..

This compact kit contains a mirror, a powder highlighter and a cream highlighter, is a multi-formula compact, ideal for effortless highlighting. The cream and powder formulas in a light, luminescent shimmer allow for a perfect strobe & glow, iridescent look.

This is amazing, but you must put on the cream then set with the powder (which gives the highlight a gold sheen) and it lasted all day.

Overall, I really like the MUA Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit. . The powder is very subtle and light and the cream highlighter is a beautiful pearly gold which has a wonderful shimmer running throughout.

Skincare Routine

Hi everyone, welcome back

One of the best keys to beautiful skin is a cleansing routine that is gentle, thorough and relaxing.

  1. Apply the cleanser with your fingertips, beginning at the center of your face and working upwards and outwards. Massage the cleanser in with your fingertips to soften any congested areas in the skin. this relaxes the pores for further treatment and helps boost circulation. Rise off excess cleanser.
  2. Soak cotton -wool pads in cool water, and then douse them in eye makeup remover. Lay one over each eye, wait for a few seconds, then rub a pads with your fingertips to loosen the eye makeup. Vigorous rubbing or pulling of the delicate skin around the eyes will eventually cause the skin to loose elasticity and sag. Remove and gently wipe under the eyes to remove the facial traces of makeup.
  3. Using cotton -wool pads soaked in warm water and alcohol – free toner, sweep the rest of the face to remove the cleanser. Gently splash with cool water to stimulate the skin before applying mask.
  4. Apply the face mask, Taking care to avoid the eye and lip areas. Don’t forget your neck which must be included in each and every step of the cleansing routine.
  5. Remove the mask gently with the wet face cloth. Using clean cotton- wool pads soaked in warm water to remove any remaining traces. Splash face and finish off with your moisturizer.

Beauty Haul – September 2017

I hope you’re all ok and having a lovely Sunday!

I have a few recent editions to my beauty collection and I just couldn’t wait to share these with you all!

First I went to Body Shop to look for  some hand cream and I come back with 3 products, always like this when I go to Body Shop ….

1 – Pink grapefruit shower gel- Cleanses the skin, Leaves skin softer and refreshed, Soap free….

2 – Pink grapefruit Body butter-  This rich and creamy Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth.

3 – Pink grapefruit hand cream – Perfect for on-the-go hydration, Infused with pink grapefruit oil, the light, gel-cream formula absorbs quickly, helping to soften and protect the hands.

The next three products are from Victoria Secret….

I love Victoria Secret lipsticks, they’re fantastic ….

Victoria’s Secret Satin Lip Crayon –  1 – Barely ; 2 – Undressed; 3 – Whisper  

And last but not least, I purchased another MAC Lipstick for my collection, I can’t stop myself, I love Mac Lipsticks 😉

MAC Lipstick – Mocha

The creamy bullet delivers opaque coverage and a satin finish. I love it 😉
