Victoria Secret Velvet Matte lip stain review

Hi everyone , welcome back …..

Today I will do a review of ; sexy new lip obsession: high-intensity colour with a full-coverage matte finish and lasting stain effect, with conditioning vitamin E and olive oil for softness.

The Victoria’s Secret matte-lipstick collection includes 10 Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stain shades: Wanted, Desire , Adorned , Perfection, Obsessed , Impulsive, Tempting, Scandalous, magnetic, and Drama . They’re creamy, full-coverage, and super pigmented with a stain effect that lasts long after the lipstick wears off. I wore perfection almost every day  and really liked how it felt on my lips. The formula contains vitamin E and olive oil, and it really doesn’t feel dry at all.  I have the shades Drama, Wanted and perfection and I love it …..

Perfectly defines! And spreads nicely when applied ……

Because of the cream-like formula, you only need to swipe on one layer to get the fully opaque shade, no touch ups necessary. Even after three hours of drinking coffee and snacking, when the initial whipped layer had faded off my lips, I was left with a gorgeous, hyper-pigmented stain that felt silky. There’s even a wash of color on my lips when I get home after work…..

It won’t cake nor crust around your lips. The innovative formula also doesn’t feel sticky……

I definitely recommend

Thanks 😉

Highlighter Tips for the Perfect Glow

Hi everyone, welcome back

If you’re a makeup enthusiast, I’m sure you’re very familiar with highlighter

Here are some highlighter tips you might find useful:

Image result for highlight face tips for summer

Cream highlighters, for instance, are great if you have dry skin because it will not make it look flaky or emphasize the dryness while powder is perfect if you want to achieve a very subtle glow.

Pick the perfect highlight colour – highlighters come in a variety of colours and each colour can give off a different effect so picking the right color is crucial to achieving the perfect glow. Champagne and bisque tone highlighters are universally flattering but peach and pink toned ones are great for adding that radiant look.

Know where to highlight – basically, you’ll want to put your highlighter on the high points on your faces including the nose bridge, the center of your forehead, your cupids bow, the highest points of your cheeks.

During the Summer you will sweat. Keep your highlighter on point with a bit of powder over it.

  • Focus on the high points of the face.
  • Sweep a little under the eyebrow and a bit on the Cupid’s bow of your lip.
  • With a small brush, run a line of highlighter down the bridge of the nose.
  • Place a dab at the top of the cheekbone making sure not to apply any to the apple.
  • Blend in with a sponge or tap in with your fingers.
  • Take a clean sweep across the face lightly to blend any lines.
  • Finish with a translucent powder just on the T-zone and on the sides of the nose.
  • Highlighter is also beautiful placed on the tops of shoulder and along the collarbone.

Eye makeup tips

Hi everyone , welcome back

Image result for eye makeup tips

  • Start with your brows. Defined eyebrows frame your face and bring attention to your eyes. Fill in your brows with an eye shadow that matches the colour of your brows.

  • Use a primer or base to make your eyelid as smooth as possible. That way, your eye shadow will stay in place all day.

  • To make eyes look big and bold, the trick is to create depth with your eye shadow. First apply a lighter-colored shadow all over your eyelid. Then, take a darker shadow and apply it in the crease of your eye above your lid. This will create an element of dimension. Don’t forget to blend the lid colour with the crease colour to create a seamless look.

  • Blend well; you should never be able to tell where one colour begins and ends.

  • Choose the right eye shadow colours- Everything from vanilla to almond, to mid- tones like taupe and terracotta, to deep shades, like coffee and smokey grey. Ultimate your own colouring will determine what works best for you.

  • Highlight your eyes in the right place; Use highlighter on any part of the eye area that you want to bring out. Put Put a dot on the inner corner of the eye to make eyes look big and bright….

  • Don’t skip Eyeliner; Liner helps define shape and open the eye, but it should be done with a delicate line. Apply a gel, pencil, or liquid liner on your top lash line. If you have light eyes, go with a brown eyeliner, while brown eyes will pop with black liner.  For a smokier look, apply a brown or black eye shadow onto your lower lash line with a small eye shadow brush. Just make sure the top and bottom eyeliner meet at the outer corner of your eye.

  • Always include mascara; First curl your lashes. Hold the curl for a few seconds, and then let go. Then, brush two to three coats of mascara from the base to the tip of your top and bottom lashes.

Experimentation is the way to find out what works for you ……

MY FAVORITE EYELINERS

Hi everyone, welcome back ….

If every girl has her signature beauty look, mine definitely includes a swipe of eyeliner.

When choosing a liner I look for a brand that stays all day, doesn’t smudge and has an applicator that is easy to use.

For this post I have four eye liners to share with you.

  1. The Lancome Grandiose Liner is completely unique and like no other liner that I’ve come across before. This is the liner that is all about that bend. What I mean by this is that the lid of the actual liner bends at an angle which enables you to create that perfect wing.
  2. The L’Oreal ultra precision liquid eyeliner in a sponge-tipped pen. A long-lasting precise line. Super liner is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick. Colour is applied with precision and ease and dries without smudging.
  3. Bourjois Liner Pinceau Eyeliner fluid formula, enriched with deep intense colour, stays in place all day. Its fine high precision brush applicator enables you to draw a thin or thick accurate line as you wish, so you can create an expert result in just a stroke!
  4. Rimmel Liquid eyeliner -Perfect definition. High colour intensity. This liner produces fine precise lines with one brush stroke. Film forming ingredients bond the colour pigment to the skin for long lasting wear.

Tried any of these? Have other favorites? Let me know down below!

Thanks 😉

  1. Apply Vaseline, then use a soft toothbrush to remove dead skin cells, brushing gently.
  2. Apply your foundation as you normally would, making sure you lightly cover your lips too.
  3. Apply the liner that, matches either your lips or your lipstick exactly.

TOP 5 TIPS FOR LIPS

  • If you decide a lipstick is too bright for you once you’ve got it on, but scrubbing it off will ruin your foundation, mix a bit foundation with Vaseline and smear this over the shade with your fingertip to mute it.
  • Dark, Matt lipsticks sometimes stain the lips. If this happens, rub the lips with olive oil.
  • Light shades , particularly shimmery or frosted ones , will make lips look bigger.
  • Using sheer lipsticks and lip stains is an ideal way for the nervous to branch out into deep shades like plums, raisins and reds.
  • If your lip gloss is too gooey, run an ice cube over your lips. it’ll keep the shine, but stop that sticky sensation.

Applying makeup, Eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner

Hi everyone, and welcome back to my blog

Good eye makeup will accentuate the eyes and make your eye colour stand out. How you apply your makeup is entirely dependent on the look you are going for.

It’s important to learn about the shape of your eyes so you can bring out the best in your features. For example, if your eyes are close-set you may want to use a lighter colour in your inner corners to make them appear further apart.

Before applying eyeshadow, applying a cream eyeshadow base because it creates a beautiful texture and a smooth canvas for  eye makeup.

Always blend your eyeshadow well with a clean fluffy brush across the area  where your eyeshadow ends, to create a flawless finish.

Classic black mascara is best for all occasions but pick your mascara according to the look you want. when applying mascara, don’t pump the wand because this will push air into it and encourage it to dry out.

Work from the base to the tips of the lashes and roll the wand to avoid clamps. always apply from underneath so you don’t weigh down the lashes. Allow the mascara to dry before applying more coats if you want a more dramatic effect.

If you want a softer look, line your eyes with a powder eyeshadow using an angled brush. For a more dramatic look, use a gel or liquid liner to draw a line close to the lash line with a flick at the outer end. For an even more striking look, use a thicker line with a more accentuated flick at the end.
