What’s in my makeup bag ( summer 2017)

Hi everyone, welcome back

The contents of my makeup bag changes as the season does, so I wanted to share with you what I have been using recently ……

I spend a lot of time away from home, so I always take with me the basic makeup to do my touch-ups during the day

I’m all about the natural makeup look and with the warm weather here I’ve been into items that are easy to apply and effortless to touch up on-the-go.

Lip products are my weakness. I always carry  more than one with me ….

Concealer – Maybelline instant anti age ( Nude)

Powder – NYX HD finishing powder ( Banana)

Brush – Ted backer London (This is the perfect size to have in your makeup bag)

Brows – NYX tinted Brow mascara

Eyeliner – Avon gel eyeliner black

Lip balm – Ted Baker London

Lip liner – NYX lip liner ( SMLL07 Sandstorm)

Lipstick  – lip paint matte ( 209 Nude on fleek ) – my favorite lip product at the moment

Lipstick – L’Oreal Color Rich ( 214 Violet Saturne )

Perfume – Dolce & Gabana  (This sophisticated and feminine scent is perfect to pop in your makeup bag and can be worn day or night. )

Thanks 😉

June favorites 2017

Hi everyone , welcome back

Today I’ll be sharing with you all my June Favorites which I am in love with…..

Here are my monthly favorites

  • L’Oreal Gel – cream wash

Skin is cleansed and free from impurities. Beyond clean, the wash reveals deeply comfortable skin that feels smooth and silky soft. Day after day, skin is softer, more supple and appears more beautiful.

For Dry & Sensitive Skin

No soap – No alcohol

If you have dry & sensitive skin I definitely recommend this product.

  • Avon Mark magix face primer

This colorless primer covers imperfections on the skin, covers the pores and fills out the curves of the face without a shine. It lasts the entire day and I gladly use it, since the liquid primer spreads more evenly and properly on the face, and it creates a nice fresh finish.

  • Avon mark glow on face illuminator

This can be use in 3 ways , use it alone or as a primer before applying the rest of your make-up and the third way is to highlight over the top of make up. Apply to the high points of your face (cheekbones, nose and cupids bow)

Once blended into the skin it gives a gorgeous, healthy glow ……

  • NYX HD finishing powder

NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Finishing Powder is a lightweight translucent finishing powder that helps soften the appearance of fine lines and pores. This silky pressed powder has a fresh matte finish.

  • Victoria’s Secret Cream lip stain

Perfectly defines! And spreads nicely when applied ……

Because of the cream-like formula, you only need to swipe on one layer to get the fully opaque shade, no touch ups necessary. Even after three hours of drinking coffee and snacking, when the initial whipped layer had faded off my lips… The shade I use almost everyday is Wanted …..

  • Ted baker Lip balm

This lip balm Keep my lips soft and hydrated …

Hope you enjoyed reading this post ….

I’m very happy today because I start my HOLIDAY’S,  I just want to relax and enjoy the summer for 2 weeks … HAPPY DAYS 😉

Thanks 😉

Summer makeup tips

Hi everyone , welcome back

The summer is here in full swing ! The scorching heat and sweat tends to mess up the makeup. Runny mascara, bleeding lipstick, smudged eyeliner! Sounds frustrating right? This is why it is important to follow some simple tips  to avoid it from melting down. So, today I bring to you some such ways to keep your makeup last longer ….

Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin and use a protection sunscreen to help lock the makeup in…..

Priming your skin before you apply your makeup will prevent your blush or foundation from melting off when you spend time under the bright sun. Apply primer to clean skin and allow it to dry before adding foundation or powder. You can also apply your foundation with a dampened makeup sponge to allow it to go on sheer without looking thick and cakey. Use even strokes and allow it to dry before applying powder or a finishing spray for a matte look.

You may opt to use a serum since they are lightweight by nature, and one of the ways to Apply makeup for summer, is to use lighter foundation, preferably powder ones for oily to combo skin and liquid for dry skin. If you put plenty of it, there are chances it would peel off sooner, so be light with your application.

Best Summer Makeup Tips You Must See

  • Use light translucent powder this is going to be hit look for summers.
  • Light shades of bronzer on cheek bones gives you an instant glow.
  • Use light brown or nude eye shadow to give them a natural look.
  • Wear sunny bright blush which is going to be easy with your outfits
  • Colors such as golden green, earthy tones can be used with brown mascara to give that extra edge.
  • Use water proof make up.
  • Apply lip balm to protect your lips from the heat and the damage of the sun rays.
  • You can increase the volume of color, vibrant shades of eye and lips but do not go in shiny and shimmer brigade.
  • Consider altering with oil free formula during the summer months.

Highlighter Tips for the Perfect Glow

Hi everyone, welcome back

If you’re a makeup enthusiast, I’m sure you’re very familiar with highlighter

Here are some highlighter tips you might find useful:

Cream highlighters, for instance, are great if you have dry skin because it will not make it look flaky or emphasize the dryness while powder is perfect if you want to achieve a very subtle glow.

Pick the perfect highlight colour – highlighters come in a variety of colours and each colour can give off a different effect so picking the right color is crucial to achieving the perfect glow. Champagne and bisque tone highlighters are universally flattering but peach and pink toned ones are great for adding that radiant look.

Know where to highlight – basically, you’ll want to put your highlighter on the high points on your faces including the nose bridge, the center of your forehead, your cupids bow, the highest points of your cheeks.

During the Summer you will sweat. Keep your highlighter on point with a bit of powder over it.

  • Focus on the high points of the face.
  • Sweep a little under the eyebrow and a bit on the Cupid’s bow of your lip.
  • With a small brush, run a line of highlighter down the bridge of the nose.
  • Place a dab at the top of the cheekbone making sure not to apply any to the apple.
  • Blend in with a sponge or tap in with your fingers.
  • Take a clean sweep across the face lightly to blend any lines.
  • Finish with a translucent powder just on the T-zone and on the sides of the nose.
  • Highlighter is also beautiful placed on the tops of shoulder and along the collarbone.

How to choose your foundation

Hi everyone , welcome back

The foundation is the base for all makeup. Getting it right is important.

One thing that I have learn is that you should pick a foundation that is at least 1 shade lighter than your skin tone.

Whether you’re using a liquid, powder, or stick foundation, it all begins with a colour check.  When you do a colour test on your skin choose either your jaw line or your neck to apply the colour to, make sure you wait a few minutes for it to dry, as the colour can change. Sometimes the colour can turn pink, or slightly orange after drying. This is why many women end up with the wrong colour.

Image result for how to choose your foundation

IF YOU HAVE NORMAL SKIN, your foundation choice may range variously from tinted moisturizer to mineralised bases. Just choose the one for you depending upon the coverage desired and the occasion.

IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN, pick a hydrating or oil-free moisture formula. Most foundations have a time-release system that can continuously moisturize for up to 11 hours.

IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN, opt for a water-based or oil-free formula and use powder.

TO CONCEAL UNEVEN PIGMENTATION, look for a full-coverage formula. Cream-to-powder varieties are the best for you.

When choosing a foundation

According to skin-tone: It’s preferable to try your shade in full day light, while not solely depending upon the lighting of the cosmetic store you’re buying the product from.

Light– For fair ivory skin tones

Medium – For light medium to beige skin tones

Tan – For slightly darker complexions, including golden tan to olive tones.

Dark – For deep, rich complexions, including medium – brown to dark tones.

Hope this post help some of you who are wishing to incorporate foundation in your makeup routine .

Have a great weekend everyone

Thanks 😉
